gin_tonic: (Christmas Snarry)

Sorry for the delay in posting/writing these drabbles! I was sick (still am, but slightly better) and all that coughing sucked every last bit of creative energy out of me. If anyone has tipps on how to get rid of this fucking cough, I'll take them!

Title: Confirmation
Prompt: Written for [info]adventdrabbles' Dec 14 Prompt: Warm Fuzzy Socks

Harry was back at Hermione's and Ron's place, sipping hot cocoa and trying to make sense of his feelings. The matching fuzzy socks his friends were wearing didn't exactly help him focus.

"It's simple, mate," Ron said and immediately had both their attention. "You love him."

Hermione raised her eyebrows, and nodded. "Love might be a bit of a strong word, but Ron's still right."

"Am I that obvious?"

"Yes," Ron and Hermione said.

"Do you think Snape knows?"

"Yes!" both said again, though Hermione added, "At least now he does."

Harry groaned and hid his face in his hands.

Title: Going Back
Prompt: Written for [info]adventdrabbles' Dec 15 Prompt: First Christmas Snowfall

Feeling more confident now that he knew why exactly he had the urge to go to Snape's shop, Harry returned the following day.

"I'm back," he said when he reached the counter.

"So I see," Snape said, though he didn't look up from the book he was reading.

"I… uh… brought cookies," Harry said, confidence faltering ever so slightly.

"Fantastic."

Harry bit his lip and he turned his head towards the door, when he spotted thick snowflakes slowly falling. "Look at that. The first snow for this year."

"It is indeed." Maybe Harry imagined it, but Snape sounded mellower suddenly.

Title: Jokster
Prompt: Written for [info]adventdrabbles' Dec 16 Prompt: Secret Santa

"Okay, Potter, let's have it."

"Let's have what?"

"What is it this time? Do you need more presents? Something for Secret Santa, maybe?"

Harry shook his head. "No, I don't need any presents this time."

Snape crossed arms in front of his chest. "What then?"

Harry took a deep breath. Out with it. "I wanted to ask you out."

Snape just stared at him wordlessly.

"You know, on a date. With me."

Snape blinked. "Is this a joke?"

"I… No. Of course not," Harry stammered, starting to sweat nervously. This wasn't going as he had planned.

"You must be joking."

Title: Desperate Measures
Prompt: Written for [info]adventdrabbles' Dec 17 Prompt: Pumpkin Pie Moonshine

"I mean it," Harry said. "I want to go out with you." Maybe he should have taken Ron up on his offer to have a sip of the moonshine he made. It would certainly have inspired him with a little more bravery than he now felt.

Snape's expression slowly turned from anger to panic. The shift was subtle, yet Harry recognised it. He knew a rebuff was imminent, so he desperately launched into action. "We could go to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland? Look at ice sculptures, skate on the ice rink they set up, or just have some mulled wine!"

Title: Tomorrow
Prompt: Written for [info]adventdrabbles' Dec 18 Prompt: Ice sculptures

"Ice sculptures?" Snape blinked, his facial expression now doubtful, but at least no longer panicked.

"For example. I heard it's nice there."

"Winter Wonderland?"

Harry bit his lip and decided to go all in. "Just say yes. You know I'll come back anyway if you don't." There were two ways this could play out: either Snape agreed to go on a date with him, or he would curse Harry to the moon and back. When Snape sighed, Harry started grinning.

"Fine. You can meet me here tomorrow, when I close the shop. I give you two hours for this outing."
