George sighed as he watched Harry leave and pushed away from the counter. Maybe he was a bit jealous of how obviously in love Harry was. Lately, Viktor had been distant. He spent a lot of time at practice¬—and when he didn't, George and Viktor had been arguing more than they had talked to each other. Now George spent as much time in the shop as he could, because he wasn't able to face the possibility that Viktor might be resenting him for having him leave his home and move to England.
Suddenly, a snowball hit the window and jerked George from his thoughts. "Oi!" A swish of his wand sent an armada of snowballs flying towards the children playing in the street. What he wouldn't give to be this careless and happy again. To have Fred at his side.
"Oh Fred, what the hell am I supposed to do?"
"Did you say something?" Felicity yelled from the storage room.
"No, nothing." George cleared his throat. Fred would certainly not be moping around. He'd grab the bull by its horns and talk to Viktor, consequences be damned. George took a deep breath. He knew what he had to do.
