Taking a break from shopping at Harry's flat, eating cheese sandwiches (Harry's specialty, made with fondue cheese), Harry couldn't stop talking about Snape. "I mean, I haven't seen him in years and suddenly there he is!"
"Yes, I saw him, too."
"And he still makes me… ugh. I don't know. Why did I have to go and talk about the old Christmas sweets? I should have asked him how he was and since when he owned the shop." Harry ran a hand through his hair. "We have to go back."
Ron looked up with wide eyes. "I'm not going back there."
"But—"
"Mate, if you want to see Snape that badly, you can go on your own. I still have to go and buy presents for everyone—that is enough stress for me. And, by the way, you still haven't bought that gift certificate for Hermione."
"Yes, the certificate! That gives me a perfect reason to go back!" Harry felt elated. Maybe he could make up for his blunder. He certainly had to try.
"You're hopeless, mate. Hopeless."
"No, full of hope!" Harry said and grinned.
"Full of idiocy, more like. But have it your way—it's your funeral."

A/N: Part of the "Advent Snarry 2016" series. All entries to this series can be found here.
Ron had gone off to buy gifts for Ginny and George and left Harry to his own devices. Now he was standing near Snape's shop, hiding behind a giant pink Christmas tree in front of a café with Frolicsome Feline plates visible on the tables inside, wondering how to go about this. He took a deep breath and steeled himself, then marched over to the bookshop and pushed through the door.
"Out!" Harry froze. Snape stood directly in front of him.
"I—"
"Out!"
"But—"
Suddenly, Harry found himself back on the street. This had not gone as planned.
