After his failure to enter the bookshop again, Harry needed a plan. And a peace offering, to get into Snape's good graces again—or to at least distract the man so he could apologise.
Harry looked at the clump of dough in front of him. He had thought baking cookies would be easier than this, but with this third batch, it seemed like he was finally getting somewhere. Harry pulled off a bit of dough and stuck it in his mouth, only to immediately pull a face. He had used salt instead of sugar. A new batch was needed, then.

Harry waited behind the pink Christmas tree again. It took thirty long, cold minutes until someone decided to pay a visit to Snape's bookshop. He quickly snuck in behind the old lady, crouching a bit so he could hide behind her. At last, he was inside.

Harry cringed. "Hi."
"What are you doing here?" Snape looked at Harry's hands. "And what is that?"
Harry gave him a sheepish smile. "Cookies. For your bowl."
Snape gave him a dark look, but took the box Harry was holding nevertheless. "Is that all?"
"Actually—"
"Let me guess, you have questions."
"Some."
