When George woke up, it took him a while to piece together last night's events. Meeting Charlie in The Leaky Cauldron, setting Kingsley and his brother up, and finding Viktor Krum at the bar when he had expected to get drunk alone. It had been surprisingly fun talking to him. George had ordered eggnog for the two of them—a bad idea, he now discovered and quickly Summoned a hangover potion.
An owl with a message attached to its foot was pecking at the window and made him get up.
I'm staying at the Hungry Hippogryff,. Just in case...

All through his shift at the shop, George had silently debated whether to ask Viktor out. In the end, he had decided to let fate decide, and just Apparated to the Hungry Hippogryff. If Viktor was in, he would ask him out. Otherwise, he'd let the idea go.
The goblin at the front desk informed him that Viktor would be down shortly. Nervously, George wondered what Fred would say if he saw him now. Probably to stop being an arse and just go for it. With Fred's spectre hovering in the back of his mind, comforting him, George was ready.

Charlie hummed along to the familiar tunes of Celestina Warbeck as he fixed himself a cup of coffee in the morning. He could still feel Kingsley's lips on his. He might have surprised him with the kiss, but Kingsley had recovered quickly and had pulled Charlie close. Later, he had walked Charlie home and had said good night properly this time.
Tonight, he would see Kingsley again. The thought gave him butterflies and he smiled to himself. For the first time in months, he had hopes that this thing between him and Kingsley could develop into something real. Something great!
