"Hallo," Viktor said when he came to the foyer.
"Hi." George rubbed the back of his beck a little self-consciously. "I got your owl."
"I'm glad."
They stood in front of each other, a little shy suddenly. George was the first to speak. "I need to buy some more tinsel for my shop and thought you might want to accompany me."
"Tinsel?" Viktor said, making it sound like the offer was particularly tempting. "Sure, why not?"
They left the hotel walking close to each other, almost, but not quite touching. It was, George hope, and indication of what might come.
