Apologies for the inconsisten drabble updates - RL is terribily busy (Christmas market appointments! Presents! Office Christmas party! Long hours because my clients are acting crazy!) but I'm hoping that will change by the end of the week, because Friday at 4pm my Christmas holiday is starting. I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED ABOUT HAVING TWO WEEKS OFF, GUYS! First two weeks in a row since I started working again.
Anyway, let's continue with the Advent Drabbles. Snarry will follow tomorrow, I promise.

Fleur and Bill's annual Christmas Party was always a blast. Everyone attended – from George's brothers and sister to former classmates. When he arrived, the house was already packed. Harry sidled up to him as he was getting some punch. "Did you spot Krum yet?"
George raised his eyebrows. "You mean he's actually coming? Fleur's been inviting him for years."
"I heard he RSVPed with a yes." Harry gave him a nudge. George turned to see what he meant and found himself looking straight at Viktor Krum.
"Fuck, you grew up well," he heard himself say before he could stop himself.

Dark hair and toned body, Viktor bore slight remnants of the broody expression he'd sprouted as a teenager. Now, he seemed more intriguing. George blushed when he realised how loud his admiration had been. "Um. I haven't seen you in a long while."
"I was busy," Viktor said, fiddling with the label of his beer. "Now I'm not. I'm retired."
George had heard, of course, that Viktor had resigned from his Quidditch team. But somehow it seemed rude to enquire about it. "Are you going to be in England for some time?" he asked instead, feeling like an utter dolt.

After an unsuccessful attempt at a conversation, George had regrouped with Harry. "I just don't know how to talk to him," he said, trying not to wine.
"You of all people?" Harry snorted. "What do you usually do?"
George downed his punch. "I don't know. I don't think I have a move."
"Oh, you most certainly do."
"Then it's not working with him. It's not good enough."
"You're like a puppy playing in wrapping paper?"
"Are you drunk?"
"No. But you're absolutely headless. Go and chat with him about your plans for New Year's Eve."
"Why?"
"To ask him out."
Anyway, let's continue with the Advent Drabbles. Snarry will follow tomorrow, I promise.
