Harry sat at his window and watched Hagrid chop firewood. He was due for a visit, but he didn't dare to go over, afraid that Hagrid would somehow see what was going on.
Harry still didn't know what to do. Keeping the baby and facing the consequences or not keeping it and... No. He possibly couldn't. What if this was his chance at having a family?
But facing the consequences meant that he might lose his job and home. And he would have to tell Snape. If the man couldn't even properly acknowledge their night together, how would he react?

Harry warmed his feet at the fire and tried to work out the kinks in his neck. The students had been positively ghastly today – hopped up on sugar and Christmas excitement and unwilling to spend another minute studying. Had he ever been like that?
He wished he had someone to talk to, someone who might commiserate with him. Absently, he stroked his stomach and sighed. Maybe finding a partner should be the last thing on his mind right now. He should focus on the present and deal with that first. But dealing seemed hard and he was tired as fuck.

Word Count: 100
Warnings: none
A/N: Part of the "Advent Snarry 2017" series. All entries to this series can be found here.
Harry surreptitiously looked at his watch and wondered if it was late enough to finally leave the staff's Christmas party without raising any red flags. He decided that he had pretended to be the same as always for long enough now and quickly made his way towards the exit.
He was just out the door, when Snape suddenly appeared in front of him. "Potter. You're going to tell me right now why you are being this strange," he growled.
Harry looked away. "I don't know what you mean." He tried to walk past him, but Snape kept blocking his way.

"I demand answers!" Snape growled, crossing his arms in front of chest.
Now very much irritated, Harry balled up his fists. "Why do you think you deserve any?" Snape opened his mouth – and closed it again. "That's right, you don't," Harry said loudly. "We're not an item, you've made that perfectly clear. If you don't like the way I behave, that's your problem, not mine. Now, I'll go to bed."
This time, Snape didn't stop him when he walked away. Instead, he looked like a puppy that had been kicked. Harry kind of liked it – maybe Snape cared, after all.
