Dec. 25th, 2006 01:07 amOh my, I'm officially dead! XD Only minutes ago my father and my grandparents left us, ending a quite good and rather peaceful (*shocked*) Christmas. I am tired and our flat looks like a hoard of drunkards had a party here. :P You should see all the glasses that we used! Very good wine though, picked by my father.
I cooked - started yesterday and continued today - and now I'm quite glad that it's over. It started with a smoked ham carpaccio with honey melon slices and Parmesan shavings, then we had a field salad cream soup with a fried bacon slice (my favourite, I think *drools*), followed by the main course: lamb fillet covered by herbs alla provence and homemade (by me) gnocchi.
After that we needed a break - that was the slightly chaotic gift exchange to which I have to say YAY! - and then dessert, which was a honey parfait with raspberry sauce.
I'm still full from the food. And the wine! My father brought 30 years old wine that was so wonderful sweet and was perfect for dessert and after.
To crown the evening we watched Ms. Marple together.
