My.Feet.Hurt.
Jun. 11th, 2006 02:02 pmSoooo ... Prom last night! Not mine - my younger sister's. First we had the graduation ceremony in the morning (after church - the school we went to was catholic after all), which was really wonderful, followed by a reception with champagne and little amuse-gueules (Yum!). Some of my friends were there, too. One because it was his graduation (he had to repeat the year), one because his sister graduated and two others because they wanted to see the ceremony.
A few hours later my family and I got ready for the prom. Proms are with the family here and only the after-show party is for us 'young people'. :P My sister was wearing a really nice, black dress that she found in Majorca, black high heels and red jewelery. I was wearing a brown, smooth dress (that I found last minute when I discovered that the other dress that I wanted to wear didn't fit anymore XP) that look fantastic on me (I know, I know I shouldn't praise myself. But blah.), brown high heels that made me 3 1/2 inches taller and golden jewelery.
The ball room was really cool, but when we arrived there was another reception before we were allowed to go in. Some other of my friends (+ the one with the sister who graduated) were there, too. So, the ball room: Loads of warm colors, many tables that were standing close by (not like they were at my stupid prom where you were feeling like you were alone in the stupid room) and some guys (one that I knew) on stage playing quiet jazz music. It didn't take long and the buffet was opened. Loads of different salads, feta cheese, pine nuts, tomato soup, bread, smoked salmon and chicken pieces for starters, then two different kinds of fish, some pork and turkey hen, noodles, rice, vegetables, au gratin potatoes for main course and lemon cream, red fruit jelly with vanilla sauce and fruit salad as well as assorted cheese for desert. :D Yay!
They also had a show with two girls from my sisters year singing and one playing piano, a string quartet aaaaand a movie! The movie was brilliant! It was 37 minutes long, but so good that you didn't bother thinking about the time. It showed various moments in the last few years of my sister's year and it was so funny. There were people being silly, dancing, talking while being drunk, singing teachers and the day when everyone got their permission to their final exams. And I was like 'awwwwwww' the whole time.
After desert dancing started, but I surely didn't want to dance with my father (who only deserves '...' as a comment) and my mate Heinrich doesn't dance. *rolls eyes* He's a punk (and I mean that. He even has a punk band - they'll have a mini concert next Saturday ... in a family center ... bwahahaha!), but he said that maybe he should go to a dance class. I told him I could stand on his boondockers and he could sway around, but noooo. Meh.
Well Heinrich's sister made us bouncers around 11:45pm, because people started arriving for the after-show party but the ball wasn't finished and most parents hadn't left yet. And because people had to pay before they were allowed in. So Midget was a BOUNCER! Muahahahaha! The Power! TEH POWER! I felt really good. Nobody dared to do something that I didn't want (... but nobody was drunk yet and I didn't do anything to annoy them ... :P But if they had I would've rammed my high heel on their feet :D). Heinrich and I collected the money and I drew a pink circle on everyone's hand - because we had now rubber stamp that you could put on them like you usually do at clubs. hehehehe Someone really gave me a PINK MARKER and nobody could object to me marking them with it! *manic laugh*
Aaaanyway, after a long while I found someone to take over for me and while Heinrich went home (booooring) because he doesn't like parties where non-punk music is played I went back into the ball room where the party had started. Some more friends of mine had arrived and soon I was found dancing (even though most of my friends didn't. I admit that the music was weird.) somewhere close to my sister. We had fun! Yay! I didn't drink much yesterday night, though, because the champagne around lunch had resulted in my headache getting worse. Beer was okay though.
My friends left early, but I stayed till most left (early in the morning). We first took a tram, then a taxi that my sister and I shared with two of her friends. When I came home I had spend around 10 hours on my high heels (not counting the one hour where I'd taken them off - God that felt so good - and continued dancing bare feet like most of the girls). So now my feet are ouch. And that's the end of the story.
