It was like cheap Muggle porn, Severus found, but that didn't make him stop. He arrived every day like clockwork and Severus opened his door every single time to him. The first time had been almost an accident. Severus had been wearing nothing but a towel when he'd opened that door to receive a Muggle package. The towel had slipped, the postman's eyes had strayed below – and stayed.
He didn't know what had made him ask the postman to come inside. But what now made him continue was the bloody good sex. And he didn't even know the man's name.

Her hand was small in his and he held it like a precious gem. Like a butterfly – too scared to hold on tight so that he wouldn't hurt it. Severus gave Lily a hesitant smile. To have her, meant that his world was no longer bleak. There were colours and there was laughter.
He wanted to tell her, but couldn't find the words. Never would. To show her, he tried to become a better person – smarter, more powerful. He didn't notice they drifted apart. Only when it was too late he saw he had lost her forever in his quest.
