They had to start a least somewhat fresh, Harry decided as he planned their first date. Because even though both of them were very interested in pursuing what was developing between them, they were still clueless as to how to go from friends to lovers. Though, to be fair, to Harry Snape had always been more than just a regular friend.
Harry was so nervous that he arrived twenty minutes early at the cafe. Snape was already sitting at the table. He rose when Harry approached, and Harry blushed as they tried to figure out how to greet each other – weave, hug or kiss on the cheek? They went for a thing in between.
"I ordered some tea," Snape said as they sat down, both their cheeks pinks.
"Sounds good," Harry said and ordered a cup of coffee with an apologetic smile.
"Naturally." Snape rolled his eyes, but smiled slightly anyway.
"You know I need my caffeine." Harry smiled and played with the teaspoon that was already lying on the table. What did one talk about on a date that one didn't talk about as friends? Snape already knew his best and worst features – Harry didn't have to hide anything.
