majmunka, who bought my drabble services during the Fandomaid run for typhoon Haiyan. This is the start of the drabble series. :)
Pairing: Harry Potter/Severus Snape
Rating: PC-13
Word Count: 167
Warnings: alcohol
There weren't that many people in the Hog's Head that night – the couples preferred Madam Puddifoot's and the Three Broomsticks with their Valentine's themed decorations. The singles – at least those in need of a decent brew or a strong drink – came to the Hog's Head.
Harry greeted Aberforth, who drew him a lager almost immediately.
"No hot date, Potter?"
Harry turned around and rolled his eyes at Snape, who he hadn't seen when he walked in. He should have known the miserable bastard would be here tonight. "No", Harry said simply, not wanting to dive into the long and complicated story of how he came to be single. He raised his glass, drank some beer and then told Aberforth to bring them a couple of shots.
"What makes you think I'd drink with you?" Snape asked him with a scowl.
"I'm buying."
After long consideration, Snape took one of the shots. "Fair enough. But don't think I hate you any less."
Harry grinned. "Likewise."
