"How did you manage to buy all of your gifts already?" Harry asked Ron with audible admiration.
Ron grinned and shrugged. "My mother must've taught me something after all."
"I haven't even gotten any stockings to fill yet. No presents, either!" At the rate this was going, Harry expected he'd be doing some last minute shopping on the 24th.
"Here, why don't we go in there and get something for Hermione?" Ron pointed at a small book-shop.
"Alright." Harry sighed. "But how do I know which books she hasn't already bought for herself?"
Ron rolled his eyes at Harry. "Just get her a gift certificate."
"Right." Harry entered the shop and blinked as his eyes adjusted to the gloom. Books were stacked as high as the ceiling, and the stacks tilted at precarious angles. Careful where he was stepping, Harry moved to the counter and looked around for the person who worked there. "Excuse me?"
The shop assistant must've been kneeling behind the counter, for he appeared almost out of nowhere. Harry stumbled backwards and stared.
"You! What are you doing here?"
"I have to make a living somehow, Potter," said none other than Severus Snape and raised an eyebrow.

no wonder he hid from Harry with such success.
Eager for more revelations.

Date: 2016-12-02 10:07 pm (UTC)Thanks - and LOL! Harry would certainly not stumble into his shop under normal circumstances.
