When Charlie entered the Leaky Cauldron, he had no trouble spotting George, even though the place was packed. His brother was sitting amidst of boxes of Christmas decorations.
"Interesting décor. How come?" Charlie asked as he sat down at the table.
George grinned proudly. "I was in the mood for something festive. Came here right after shopping."
"So you had the day off?"
"I let Felicity know that I wasn't coming in when I realised I wasn't done by a long shot."
Charlie glanced at the shopping bags under the table. "I see. A fondue set?"
"Present for Mum."
"Right." Charlie cleared his throat, feeling slightly concerned. "George. What's up?"
"What do you mean?"
How to approach this tactfully without mentioning George's shopping spree? "Why have you asked me here?"
George's grin widened and he leaned closer. "We need to find dates."
Charlie blinked. "Dates?"
"Yes. I have decided it's time for me to start dating again. And you have been single for far too long as well."
Charlie wanted to sputter and protest, but George was right. Somewhat, at least. Seeing his brother this enthusiastic was so rare that Charlie found himself agreeing to whatever stupid plan George had.

He had not, however, counted on Kingsley Shacklebolt stepping up to their table and asking: "What's it going to be? A pink Christmas tree?"
"Not only pink, but all colours of the rainbow." George looked at Charlie, who was visibly flustered, and made a quick decision. "Would you like to join us?"
