Harry stared at the blank parchment in front of him, trying to figure out how to start. For weeks now, he'd attempted to write down an explanation. An apology, maybe. But how could he put into words what had happened? He had tried. Had even drafted a thousand variations of this letter in his head, but none of them had measured up to what he wanted to say.
But he had to do it. He couldn't hide anymore. Hesitatingly, his hand shaking, Harry put his quill to the parchment. Short and simple, he told himself.
I'm sorry.
I'm coming home.
