"Three months, give or take." Harry exhaled, pretending that thinking about Snape didn't hurt at all. He hadn't expected he'd fall so hard for the man, especially not that quickly. But what had started as a consultation for work had quickly become more private. "We'd usually meet at his place—less chance of someone just stopping by. Once, we went to a small restaurant in Muggle France. Snape said he wanted to sample their Andouillette."

"Why didn't you tell us?" Hermione finally asked.
"I didn't think you'd accept it. I thought you might be mad. Or worse, disgusted." Harry winced when Ron quickly smacked him on the back of his head.
"Mate, you are bloody stupid."
Harry, rubbing his head, looked at Ron in surprise. "You would have been okay with it?"
"Well," Ron cleared his throat. "Maybe not at first. I might have yelled. But Hermione would have understood."
Hermione sniffed. "I would have made him see the error of his ways."
"I—Maybe it's me who doesn't really know the two of you."
