Once they had laid out a plan, the trio proceeded to get drunk and celebrate that the time of idiocy had ended. When neither of them could stop yawning anymore, though, Hermione Summoned a pillow, sheets, and a blanket for Harry and left him on the couch, while she and Ron retired upstairs.
For the first time, since he'd so hastily left everything behind, Harry slept well. He fell into a dreamless sleep, comforted by the familiarity of the place, and despite the lumpy cushions or the annoying hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen. He was finally home again.

Once they had recuperated from their respective hangovers, they put the gears in motion. Ron was sent to check up on Snape, while pretending to visit his brother's shop. He was to find out as much as possible (was Snape seeing anyone? Did he look well?), while Hermione and Harry went to check up on Harry's apartment – no letters from Snape had been left on Harry's doorstep. Harry wasn't surprised, but still disappointed. Then, the two of them made a list of places Harry could 'accidentally' run into Snape and tried picking out appropriate outfits. Afterwards, Hermione took Harry shopping.
