Hermione took the cup of coffee from Ron and leaned back. "You need to leave an impression."
Ron and Harry shared a look. Harry cleared his throat. "What do you mean by that, exactly?"
Hermione's smile got brighter. "You're going to put on your nice, new clothes and you're going to go to Diagon Alley. Just around lunchtime, when Snape's due to leave his shop. But you will not talk to him. You'll walk past – breezily – and not look at him at all."
"And that's it?" Ron hid behind his cup when Hermione shot him a look.
"Of course not."
