I taste like Bread. I am a staple in almost everyone's diet. Friends like me are a complement to any other friends I get on with almost everyone, remaining mostly in the background, but providing substance when it would otherwise be lacking. What Flavour Are You?

Bread? XD Well, I don't exactly stay in the background when I'm with my friends. I'm more like the load foreground/middle I share the middle, but I'm actually one of the active people in our group. Though I have to admit that I also provide what they call the "background-buzz" that is lacking when I'm not with them. Whenever I'm on holiday they notice how quiet it is without me. :P

Oh, by the way: PASSED MY GERMAN EXAM!!!

Hey, congrats on the Prüfung!

Was it a written/speaking thingy, or was it that weird Bürger one I remember reading about a while back (which it looked like 99% of all Germans would probably fail!)?

Bürger? Never heard of that one. It was my Zwischenprüfung, something that students like me have to take somewhere in the middle of their college time. It was a written exam, originally took 4 hours and was about two main topics (old German literature and liguistics) and two minor topics each. I failed half when I first took it in June and now did that part again. When you pass you can take the advanced classes (which you have to take in order to complete you studies. ... Err ... The system is somewhat confusing, but I have to take these exams in all my three subjects.

Eek! Old German literature and linguistics? Sounds molto complicated so more kudos to you for passing!
The Bürger thingy I was thinking of (and I probably got the name entirely wrong was the exam that was proposed (or, possibly, put into place, my memory is hideously inaccurate) for people seeking German nationality. Lots of questions about Wagner, as I no doubt erroneously recall.

So (excuse my nosiness) are you German in origin? Because if so, you probably deserve some kind of major award for the quality of your English..

Ooooh, that test! Name's probably right, too. And yeah, I heard its really complicated and I, too, would probably fail at least half of it. XD
